Cinco De Mayo Mocktail Recipes

Happy Cinco De Mayo! I know most people actually drink alcohol for Cinco De Mayo but where are all my people who don’t drink?! lol, I honestly hate the taste of alcohol so sign me up for a mocktail any day of the year…

I love this late spring/early summer time because the days are later and the kids are almost out of school! I know here in Florida it is hot and we are planning a lot of fun vacations for summer! Before we get too far into summer though, I want to share a few of my favorite drinks with you. I do have to warn you, my recipes for these are a LITTLE sketch so add/subtract things as you see fit! The first mocktail is so easy! Lime Seltzer Recipe Ingredients fresh limes - or lime juice sparkling water simple syrup lime slice salt for rim How to make squeeze lime juice into the already salted rim cup Add Sparkling water - either flavored or unflavored Add some simple syrup, and cut up a lime slice for appearance and you have an easy and delicious drink! You can either mix this one or not, totally your choice Next is a Mint Mijoto This one was again so easy to make and was delicious! Thankfully almost all mocktails have similar ingredients so it makes them so much easier. Ingredients Fresh limes Fresh mint Simple syrup Water Salt or sugar How to make To start - add the freshly squeezed lime (at least 2 whole limes), mint leaves (just a few), simple syrup (to taste), and water in a shaker pour over a sugar or salt-rimmed glass with lots of crushed iced and garnish with a fresh mint leaf and ta-da you have another delicious drink! I saved the best for last! Cantaloupe Agua Fresca This was my FAVORITE! I will warn you, it does use a ton of cantaloupe for just one drink. For my one drink I basically used a 1/4 of the cantaloupe so be prepared! You can always use the puree after you strain the water out and put it in an ice cube tray to freeze and infuse your water on another day. Anyway here is the recipe: Ingredients 1 ripe cantaloupe diced cold water - just add for a better blend 2 teaspoons lime juice 1/4 cup sugar crushed ice How to make To start you need to add the diced cantaloupe, water, and lime juice, to the blender blend until a smoothie or juice-like consistency strain into a pitcher Add sugar and stir either serve immediately over some crushed ice or add to the refrigerator for later. Either way it's delicious. Let me know if yall have any other recipes you think I should try
