Today’s post is all about Sophia! This summer totally just flew by and Sophia started 1st grade today! Thankfully, her dad took her because I already knew I was going to cry like a little baby! I can’t stand how much she’s growing up especially with her 6th birthday coming up as well in just a few days.
Sophia happens to go to a school that she has to wear uniforms so it makes back to school shopping so much easier. We did though have lots of school SUPPLIES to buy so this year instead of fighting the back to school or tax-free weekend crowd, we used Walmart.com. It was such an easy process and Sophia had just as much fun shopping with me online in her PJ’s than she would’ve had doing it in store! We bought everything online and some of it was even ready in-store the same day for us to pick up! I love online shopping because it’s so much more simple AND I don’t get lost in buying things I don’t need!
The rest of Sophia’s order ended up being delivered to the house within the next two days. Sophia thought she was in present heaven because there was literally 4 boxes [all for her] on the front porch one day when we got home! Randy looked at me but I was like hey, they’re school supplies…not clothes LOL!!
I was able to spend $140 on all of Sophia’s supplies PLUS a lot of her teacher’s wishlist & aftercare’s wishlist!! You name it, we got it…paper towels to baby wipes to headphones and crayons, etc!! I know some parents love to do school shopping but, as I said earlier! We had just as much fun, if you can do without the store I am a Walmart.com shopper ALLLL DAY long!!
I hope everyone’s babies [big or little] get off to a great start for the new school year! I know we’re [meaning me LOL] so excited to get back into our normal routine!
