So, I have to confess it should be no secret that I love my coffee in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon and on a BAD day even at night LOL! But with coffees and sodas come stained teeth!! So when Smile Brillant reached out to me to try their at-home teeth whiting kit, I was like OMG YES! I hate to say it, but its been a while since I’ve whitened my teeth so I was long overdue! Within this post, I wanted to do a little review of the past few weeks and my end results. So let’s jump in!
Getting Started
To get started with Smile Brilliant is really simple just head to the Smile Brilliant website and it literally walks you step by step to find the best whiting kit for you AND your teeth! I have really sensitive teeth so that literally was my first concern but NEVER FEAR because Smile Brilliant has an option for you to select their “sensitive” kit so along with the whitening gel you receive the desensitizing gel too!! It’s definitely a game-changer for all you people out there with sensitive teeth. Especially if you’re like me who can’t use an at-home teeth whiting product more than 10 minutes without irritating your teeth for the next 2 days!
The Process
The process of getting my kit in the mail and doing the imprint of my teeth for the whiting trays was actually really fun! I’ve never had braces or anything of that sort before so I’ve never seen a mold of my teeth so to see the mold after it hardened was super neat! After that, I sent in my impressions and within a week or so I had my custom trays I was off to a brand new WHITE SMILE!!
My Nightly Routine
I felt like it was better for me to use my trays at night, usually after I ate dinner and was on the couch with the fam watching tv or whatever because then I gave myself enough time for the whitening gel to work its magic AND I didn’t risk falling asleep in them. I’ve definitely done that in the past more than a few times with other whiting products LOL
The first few nights I only wore them for 30 minutes but gradually up-ed it to two hours within the two-week span that I used them! The trays were so easy to wear and weren’t noticeable at all, I even wore them grocery shopping one night! Once I would take them off, I would clean them out and then add the desensitizing gel and wear that for another 20-30 minutes. It is a little bit of a process so that’s why it worked out for me to wear the trays at night because like I said in the beginning, I like to have my coffee first thing in the morning!!
My Thoughts About At-Home Teeth Whiting
So I have to say, I loved my results and how easy the whitening process was with Smile Brilliant. Its always nice when you don’t have to go to the dentist for teeth whitening but what I think really just sold me on it was the desensitizing gel because when your teeth are irritated and overly sensitive that just completely sucks 1. because you can’t whiten your teeth and 2. because it hurts to eat or drink! So for me, this was an amazing gift from Smile Brilliant especially being able to remove YEARS of stains on my teeth!!
